Wow!

What a good wellcome, I must say!

Thank you very much for your comments

I´m painting some SYW Prussian and Austrian, but I have to paint a full SYW Russian Army!

We randomize the kingdom of our next campaign of the excellent "Warfare in the Age of the Reason" and I will command the Russians, so...

Leman

Good Lord! That's exactly the same situation I'm in with my SYW stuff.

Russians tend to be more uniform than the other nations. Not much of a choice of facing colours. And the infantry colours - "baroque" is the only word that fits, I think!
When you realise we're all mad, life makes a lot more sense.

Even easier to do if you go for the red vest (sleeved) and red breeches approach. Infantry summer uniform is a doddle and will make the Russians look decidedly different from the Austrians and Prussians. Baccus do a good range of SYW Russian flags. I find that their flags are oversized for 6mm figures and work particularly well with 10mm.
