Looking to round out 1914 Cavalry Division with a Jager Battalion for ITLSU.

Suitable figures are available with GP15 and GP 4 in shakos but can anyone suggest something suitable WW1 figures for the cyclist company?

nearest I can find are GR 45 - WW2 German inf pushing loaded bike.

Cheers

Hello PtS

The only other cyclist figure that Pendraken makes is the WW2 Japanese:-

(last on the right).

Not really suitable without a lot of work.

Another manufacturer makes cyclists for WW2 - French and Home Guard, still hard to see them being used as WW1 Germans

Just a suggestion but how about a few bikes dumped at the back of the base to indicate they just jumped off and went into action?

Quick search found these, there are probably lots of others:

Hello PtS

Some more bicycle options (maybe you can use some of the marching figures wheeling or 'minding' the bicycles:-

There's also a bike riding figure by P&D Marsh that you could use as a dolly:-

Images from WW1 show that close to contact (combat front line) nobody rides a bicycle. My solution is to glue the N gauge cycle to a walking Pendraken figure, and have a combat base - bit like cavalry.  It works well

Thanks for all your inputs.

For ITLSU we use 25mm square bases for infantry with 2 figures per base with 4 bases to a company as suggested in the rules. I only need 1 company.

As suggested think I'll use one advancing figure forward and one walking further back on the base with a generic N gauge bicycle attached.

Yes, that will do it.   I also have a base of prone riflemen and a pile of hastily abandoned bicycles.  But then sometimes my bases can drift towards being mini dioramas !
