Augost 20th 844, arab gobernor of al-Ushbuna (Lisbon) informed that it had been spotted near the Tajo River 54 unknown longboats. The agressors land in the shore where they found the opposition of muslim militias and local garissons in three violent battles. The raid long 13 days. The pirates embark and continue their journey. At this time the Gobernor has warned to the emir Abd al-Rahman II (Abderraman II 822-852) in the capital Cordoba, form the presence of the nordmen. Therefore an edict was made hurring to all the gobernator of the seashore provinces to be alert.

This game is based in one of the violent battles carried out by the vikings and the local militia near Lisbon.

Arab defender victories.

Thoughs
- It was a mini game, vikings only 2 unit with BP1 and Arab expansion list 3 unit BP2. (Norse 225pts vs Arab 280pts)
- It was fun and even with so scarce units you could feel the dark age flavour.
- It took 15 minutes but very intense battle.
- This battle represent a raid so a figure = a man,

Love it :-bd

How cool does: "El Azote Del Norte Vikingos" sound? :)
Buy plenty of Matron's sculpts now!

If he keeps using the chainsaw, the value of his work will soon go up.

It could be translate by "The wrath of the North: Vikings"

The fun thing is that original title: "The Vikings" .... so spanish translators....

Great title in Spanish 8). Nice to see the game used for a very small action, which I'd never considered before.

Hope you're watching Season 3 on the History channel

Lagertha is having it off with the King of Wessex

A Princess of Wessex wants to have it off with Athelstan (but is hesitating cos he's a priest)

Meanwhile Ragnar, Rollo and Rolf are giving the Mercians a damn good kicking (also the new Queen of Mercia wants to have it off with Ragnar)

Well looks like life as a Viking may have been a bit brutal, but there were obvious compensations.
