Actor 2: You hope?

Actor 1: Oh it will... if he's here.

Actor 2: If he's not we'll stick your head upon the target and shoot at that.

That's the Errol Flynn (loved him when he sang with Hot Chocolate) version of the "Adventures of Robin Hood". 1938. Another of my favourites.

It's the Sheriff and Prince John.

Isn't that the British officer (what was he doing in the 7th cavalry?) in They Died With Their Boots On?

fsn

Huzzah! A correct answer!

"Queen's Own" ('cos he used to be in the Queen's Own Light Dragoons) and it was he that introduced the very catchy "Garry Owen" as the 7th Cavalry's marching tune.

It's an Erroll Flynn film. Historical accuracy takes somewhat of a back seat to buckling of the swash.

Remember he fought the Indian Mutiny and then went to fight the Crimean War in "the Charge of the Light Brigade".

Though Wiki does say it was the marching tune of the 50th (Queens Own) Foot.

Okay, here's another, again slightly altered:

"When I say brush, turn and brush."

"Ready?"

"Brush!"
