Hi, some weeks ago we played the battle of Magenta, Ronan wrote a Report, here is the link:

A good report (thanks for the translation) of an interesting game  :)

The map terrain certainly gives the game a different feel. I assume someone has access to a very large printer  :)

Fascinating game, LM. And I actually didn't need the translation (most of the time!).
When you realise we're all mad, life makes a lot more sense.

Superb game and layout. Excellent report. Will be trying Magenta and Solferino myself at some stage, using Bloody Big Battles. I notice that you used Bruce Weigle's 1859.

Love the map look to the table. If I only had the time and space, I'd love to give this sort of game a go. I think I will be limited to parts of these battles, but at least I'll be playing them.

Excellent stuff !

Tres, tres bon!

The game looks great and from the narrative sounds like it was a fun game to play.

Playing on a map is an interesting idea that seems to work well.

LeManchou,

Wow, that was fantastic!  I love the look of the map as a playing surface, and what a massive game.  Very impressive, I hope you and Ronan (as well as the rest of the players) had a great time.
