Have people read the amazing story about Napoleon's picnic in 1807? There's a link on TMP right now. and even if the Napoleonic wars set every nerve-ending tingling with indifference, it's worth looking it up.

On another 'hunt' Napoleon shot the unfortunate Massena in the eye and immediately blamed Berthier. Whether he was believed or not is unknown.
