Blucher is here! And worth every penny. :)

Beautiful book, very clear rules, and not too much space lost with eye candy and useless waffle text so typical of lots of sets nowadays to justify cost. The rules include basic game, advanced game rules and campaign rules. After an hours browse I already feel like I've grabbed the mechanics.

The card set is lovely too. Only drawback is I need to buy some sleeve protectors.

I'm hopefully playing the introductory scenario at the club on the 20th so will try to remember to take my camera and pop up a report/review

Apparently I shall be getting my first game on the 24th using the cards. If it grabs me I will doubtless go for 6mm on big bases.

Played my first game today and I have to say its a complete blast.

Very intuitive and after a third of the game I didn't really have to refer to the fast play sheet let alone the rulebook. Realistic result and a proper grand battle Napoleonic feel.

I played with Minis (pendraken of course) on 60x60 bases and home made cards.

If you haven't got these rules and are a naps fan you dont know what you are missing. the rules are worth the investment alone even if it is just for the Scharnhorst Campaign system which sounds grand but can be played in 15 minutes as a game within a game trying to fight the battle thats about to be fought on favourable terrain and with favourable numbers and odds.

YOU DONT NEED THEE CARDS TO PLAY. They are purely for an entire 100 days war campaign

Highly recommended.

Now all I need is Pendraken to knock out those french 12pdrs so I can have some heavy artillery!!

Buggar ...Think I am going to have to buy it now. I was hoping for some okish reviews so I could persuade myself not to part with any cash
If I were creating Pendraken I wouldn't mess about with Romans and  Mongols  I would have started with Centurions , eight o'clock, Day One!

Beautiful book, and the rules look fun. Sadly my attempt to do a playtest this week failed to get off the ground, so it will be next month before I get another go. When I do try it, I will do a little Quatre Bras scenario for starters.

I am presuming the game is designed in such a way so that the Grande Armed scenarios should transfer across without too many problems
