great stuff Maeno

Its making me want to push my mongol and European adversaries up the painting queue.

Sounds a bit drastic, Matt.  :D

Well I am now breathing again (well not in the kitchen)... I decided to spray varnish this lot and after letting them dry they seem to be fine, obviously the shiny metal is now dull, but to be honest I am ok with that. The kitchen however is a bit stinky
Started edging the bases too. Half done tonight, I will do the rest tomorrow and then get the flock etc on them.
Sometimes I wonder - why is that frisbee geting bigger - and then it hits me!

Well that is them all done! I have four 20mm square command bases to do but they aren't required yet. They will be painted in a bit when I get some more knightly bits and bobs. I want some wagons and some of the Mongol pack ponies to slow this lot down a bit.
The mounted troops

And the foot.

I really enjoyed painting them. All finished in the month. This is the first army I think I have completely finished...I even painted the edge of the bases. It is also the first time I have ever painted heraldry on something so small.
I will make a start on the Mongols soon.

Buy plenty of Matron's sculpts now!

If he keeps using the chainsaw, the value of his work will soon go up.

If I were creating Pendraken I wouldn't mess about with Romans and  Mongols  I would have started with Centurions , eight o'clock, Day One!

Brilliant job and in only one month :o

The basing really works, the subtle flocking and the nice tidy edges work really well :)

For only a single month's work they are great, well done.

However, that does not mean that you are allowed a month off before starting on the Mongols.  :D

I am wargaming tonight so I will start on the Mongols this weekend. If I want to put some Sudan stuff into the competition I will have to get it done on Friday night.
My plan is to see if I can get them done in the month.
