The WIP images look good, nice lighting on them as well.  Similar lighting with them on your games table/mat and they should stand out nicely.

I was always under the impression that the caparison was there to stop varlets of evil intent from ham-stringing the horse.
When you realise we're all mad, life makes a lot more sense.
