Wargaming pet points of indifference

Please note that this thread is for points of apathy, uninterest, and indifference.

1) Modern they-are-still-fighting-this-one conflicts

2) TV programmes in 28mm

3) Vast worlds with amazing back-stories and a range of four figures and one teleporter


I had more points of apathy, uninterest, and indifference when I was younger. More or less anything apart from the above interests me now. Apart from ugliness.

I'm even giving historical figures with goblin faces a second look. But painting time is too valuable to simply pleasure an interest. I mean, it's a lot of effort painting uniforms. I wouldn't want second thoughts about adding a green face.

I have gone back to simple coats of basetex

I can'tg be bothered with flocking bases and have used basetex for years but I sprinkle a bit of fine sand on the wet basetex then a very quick dry brush with a suitable colour looks ok.

Indifferent to ACW, WW3 and Steampunk. Oh, and fantasy, although I don't mind gazing upon Lord of the Rings armies.

I don't really care if I win or lose as long as the game was fun and tense, the rules made sense and everyone enjoyed themselves.

* Air warfare, apart from involvement in WWI, RCW, RPW land battles
* Naval warfare, apart from ACW riverine

Although I must admit until relatively recently the first was true for me, despite where I live 

The second is what got me hooked on the hobby, only took me 38 years to get armies for  the period, and I still haven't finished them

So what's so caught your interest about the Southern Hemisphere?

WWII naval in the Pacific, but only some of that is in the southern hemisphere

I've just noticed that that most of that is between 0- 10 degrees south
