Hi All

Just in case people aren't aware of this blog:-

http://kampfgruppe144.blogspot.com.au/

News in that Zvezda will be doing the I-16 and La-5 in 1/144 (good news for those horrified by the prices that F-toys are fetching for I-16s)

Now just have to see if I can get the Foxone Gaz98 Aerosled into some scenarios....... :D

Cheers

Thanks for the link Vic.   I purchased a brace of the Zvezda P-16s and am amazed at the detail, especially the brass etching for the cockpit  - a lot more than 1/72 scale kits by Airfix .  I added the Peter Pig pilot in 1/144.

I fitted two thin 10mm lengths of wire (paper clips) into where the wheels should be.  Painted them matt grey.  It means my aircraft can be displayed in the air - on a stand - or parked on the ramp. Its a technique I pioneered with 1/300 aircraft, and it transfers well to 1/144.

I'm not (currently) interested in Zvezda's Eastern Front stuff but was fascinated by the scalemodels.ru listings of their Ancients/ Rennaissance/ Napoleonic ships which I've never seen before. To be fair, I've never gone looking for them - unknown unknowns! Several are in scales that would fit in with 10mm figures.
