It's funny, everyone knows the tune but how many have actually heard any of the episodes?

It used to get a re-run every so often on 4Extra. Very stiff upper lip, more Edwardian than 40's.

Hi All

As I was psyching myself up and girding my loins for a fair old stand up fight for my parcel, guess what chugged into my letter box. YES, the paddle wheeler.

Although it's listed as 1/150 I think it's closer to 1/120 or 1/100. Have to get some plans for the original to check. Still a useful and usable ship. Just have to decide now whether I'll build it with the paddle wheels or not. The other minor disappointment is that there's no incised detail on the superstructure, it relies on transfers for details.

Still on the whole happy with my purchase. Will have to write a note to myself no to buy any more ships, although the tall ship looks interesting.....and the wooden junk..... the container ship would make a good base..............

Cheers

Always a massive relief when these things finally turn up. Future purchases will be a balancing act between desire to own and raised blood-pressure.  ;)
