I note Hattons of Liverpool www.ehattons.com   have some interesting Ixo 1/144 aircraft in stock - some prices around £8
Items like Tu 5B and Potez 540 . I thought of Vic aka Grumpy Old Man when I saw the Potez,

Has anyone purchased any of there models?

Steve J

I bought some via Eastleigh models, the only difference being the packaging, which made them a lot cheaper. The models are lovely as I opened some recently, despite having them for nearly a year! Well worth buying IMHO, from wherever you can get them cheap.

Wow! Thanks for the link. I do like their prices.  Really good value for money.  I know you only need a few token aircraft for BKC rules, but sure we all are partial to a bit of eye candy.

Hello Sunray and Steve J

Yes I've had both of these links already. I haven't bought the Ixo aircraft from ehattons but I've bought other stuff from them and they passed the Grumpy Old Man Test (as opposed to the GrumpyOldMan test  :D :D).

I haven't dealt with Eastleigh but they aren't really set up for non-UK business.

Sunray, you know me too well - I do indeed have the Potez 540 which does sterling work in many a scenario, whether bombing, para run or as an objective.

My only regret is I didn't grab a Tupolev TB-3 when ehattons had them, now I have more planes than I can shake a stick at ('if that's your idea of fun' - to paraphrase Groucho Marx):-

Cheers
