Excellent - we like dirigibles...

Just realised I've not asked you what rules you're using for gaming this..?

Maenoferren

Hi Nik,
I am using Savage worlds rules, basically role play rules. Part of the game is the main role play bit, the other part is mainly hunt with a role play element. It works well. I have upgunned the dinosaurs to give the players a fright :D Well since the time of JUrrasic park everyone knows about raptors, so mine have been tweaked to make them a bit more scary (all of them that is, not just the raptors) After watching  thing about hadrosaurs the other day and how they could use their sound boxes to produce sub sounds, my Parasaurolophus can issue the brown trouser note if startled, Basically the character has to make a soirit roll or in essence craps himself if he fails. If, however, a large number of the hadrosaurs issue the note in defence, the charachter will take physical damge as a solid wall of sound attacks his inner organs. :o
Triceratops are inpregnable from the front, which means they have to actually flank them to get a killing shot, and because I am cruel, the target animal can be anywhere in a herd.
tracking skills are important as are people skills, the more you look after your bearers/gun holders the better class of bearer that wants to come and aid you in your hunt.
The airship is made from two 2 litre bottles end on so as you can imagine it is quite big, in terms of 10mm figures., it basically needs painting, gondolas and engines added then ready to go :D
Sometimes I wonder - why is that frisbee geting bigger - and then it hits me!

Coolio - I've got Savage Worlds (freebie) version somewhere - will have to dig it out...

Nice on the upgunning of the dinos - savage & mean & nasty, but nice  8)

That does sound like an enormous airship (if I'm visualising it properly!) - you know I want to see some pics, right?  ;)

QuoteThat does sound like an enormous airship
it was built for 28mm games as a representation of one, not to scale :D

Well I now have a nice group of Archetypes to go into the game, all stats done all I need are the figures to represent them. If not it looks like it is down to making my own yipe! :o

I need a film crew at the very least
Gestapo agent
femal reporter
pilot
engineer
sports star (flash Gordon type)
Male and female lead for the film
and typically I cant remember the rest as they are printed out in the car! doh :(

Doctor Xander Berkley Proffesor of ancient history
Ford Neal Quarteback New York Giants
Robert Muldoon - Hunter and guide
Victor MAraschino - movie star with a nice Errol Flynn moustache
Delores De Syn Movie Starlet with a nice pair of matching colt revolvers
Bob Collins - Mechanic
Willie Tenboom Gestapo Agent
Polly Perkins Plucky reporter New york Herald

THats the list so far, I havent got round to the rest of them yet, but there will be Ninjas!

Cant watch the end of the remake, which IMHO is just as good as the original :)
It is sooooooooo sad, much more emotional than the first.
AM toying with the idea of scratch building the ship from the film.....hmmmmm

It's very well done...interestingly, this is exactly how I feel about the original and this one: once you clock the symbolism of this, it's hard to take...but that's probably a whole other discussion!
