Really nice project. On your bases are you doing base filler then sand then grasses etc or just sand and grasses?

Basic method is: Sand and pva then ink, paint, drybrush, pva wash, flock, clump, scatter...
I don't often putty bases, usually snow or 3dbases.

Lovely!

I had a weird moment of cognitive dissonance looking at the bottom pic - the round fringed standard looked like a sombrero for a second and gave me a very odd Viva Khan Zapata! moment :D
