That's some very nice painting and basing to show off the figures.

Though I do have to say I really dislike the big black plinth like edges of the plastic bases. I'm not that keen on these bases on 28mm figures, let alone on 10s.

Now that I've seen what the 2mm thick MDF bases are like (that Minibits / Pendraken sell) I'll probably use them for this type of painting jobs in the future.

I have the idea of working through one of the suggested armies from the Lion Rampant rules book, basing them, as per the rules, on 25 or 30mm circular bases, but with multiple figures and some clump foliage for shrubbery, or the trees that Pendraken sell. Might even use some stones etc. to "sexy up" the bases, should I ever get around to working on this idea.

Pendraken ACW first, though.

fred.

I'm thinking of doing the circular basing with a few figures for the new crusader Saga.

I popped some naked prostitutes on a 15mm Italian Wars camp base. Some soldiers appear to be giving them the once over.

My renaissance baggage train has some renaissance baggages in a suitable tent. I used bather figures from a Japanese model railway accessories set; the rest went into an onsen fantasy for contemporary Japanese battles.
