You could probably get away with using French or Austrians guns. The Russian pieces had slightly longer trails, but I doubt anyone will notice in 10mm. Crews are rather more difficult, especially if you want them wearing the late-war kiver. Not sure what to suggest there.

thanks  :)

I already have 20 Magister Militum crews wearing the Kiwer that I was given, alas without the guns  :(,

would the SYW Russian guns from the Pendraken SYW Russian range work or are they to old for the Napoleonic wars

Hertsblue

You would probably be better off with the Austrian 6 and 12 prs. The SYW pieces would probably look too heavy. You will have problems with the licorns (unicorns), of course. They were longer in the barrel than howitzers, but shorter than field-guns.

thanks again  :)

would the Old Glory NAPR703 Russian Unicorns work with MM figures

Probably showing my ignorance of all things 19th Century here but would ACW54 from the NEW! American Civil War range 12lb Howitzer do in a pinch?

Beware of single-pole carriages. Only the Brits had them in the Napoleonic Wars. The licorns were significantly longer in the barrel than the average howitzer.

The Pendraken ACW howitzer barrel looks longer than the Napoleonic howitzers I remember from the days (30 years ago!) that I regularly gamed the Napoleonic Wars.

As to the trail, it needs either a bit of scratch-building or sweet-talking Leon into letting you have Napoleonic carriages and ACW barrels.

I guess it depends on whether old smokie has more faith in his practical skills or his interpersonal ones :)

Use French guns, the Austrian guns had longer trails. can not help with crews unless you fancy some head swops.

Hertsblue

Yes, but the French 8pr barrel is too long for a 6pr and the 4pr is too short and slight.
