I have just been putting together some hex based scenics for my city scape WWII game, These tanks are probably under scale, but they work quite well with the figures and from a hex point of view, it allows both the terrain and the figures to co-exist easily in the same hex.

I picked up some floor protectors from Wilko's (UK) for just £1. Ignore the cycle caps next to them, these will be machinery or silo's on another piece. Six protectors stacked (they are self adhesive) and toped with a cork protector (sold for £1.50), the whole thing is wrapped in paper, painted and then the 'runners' added.

Good work, Norm. Round constructs for 10mm are a pig to make usually.

MiniBits round MDF bases? Must be cheaper, too.

Found, purchased and stored away. The cork bits are in a pack of 24 in different sizes of which 8 fit our bill quite nicely.
