Prussians carrying ammunition and groups of wounded with medics

We are now getting deep into the Swiepwald and it is becoming clear that there was a well-worn trail into the Swiepwald along which many of the Prussians entered the wood. As the battle for the wood ebbed and flowed we think that this trail would have ammo carriers moving forward and wounded moving back. The large number of mass graves on either side of the trail also suggests that there were a number of badly wounded who died alongside the trail and were buried there in due course. I think that Mollinary is getting Prussian and Austrian casualties done but are there suitable figures for wounded limping to the rear or sitting feeling glum, as well as people hailing ammo boxes?

Prussian and Austrian casualties do already exist, but no walking wounded - yet.

A bit of cut and paste may be able to make that happen. I'm sure something could be done with the firing line troops, limber riders and artillerymen. Might have a go myself for a bit of light relief from painting.

That would be excellent. Perhaps fairly generic eg with bandaged heads not headgear, though that would deprive Mollinary of a whole line of discussion as to whether the Pickelhaube had the back reinforcing strip or not, an issue that we worry about almost every day.

How wrong can a man be!  In 10mm even I do not worry about this detail, as my armies prove!   Now, the question as to whether the regiments are wearing Brandenburg or Swedish cuffs is, of course, another matter!   ;D  :D

with a bit of judicious filing and painting the excellent AWI casualty figures can be pressed into service; it IS 10mm after all.
Don't buy your daughters a pony, buy them heroin instead, its cheaper and ultimately less addictive.

Dare one enquire whether this is actually being actioned or is it another case of all talk and no trousers, as my grannie used to observe?

I think the operative phrase is "don't hold your breath", Holdfast. From recent experience of commissioning various figures for production by Pendraken, I can say that we are talking twelve months minimum, from sculpting, through pre-production to actual casting. It might be shortened slightly if the figure(s) in question were expected to sell rapidly, but not by much.
When you realise we're all mad, life makes a lot more sense.

I think culling figures, such as stretcher bearers, wagons etc from other ranges and then using some green stuff is probably the best way to go. I imagine stretcher bearers, medics, commissary staff etc would most likely be wearing field caps rather than helmets or shakos.

It's on the requests lists, which is the first stage of the process.  Other people add their votes and then eventually the item would make it into the Top 10 Requests: http://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php/topic,11244.0.html  Once it's in there, then we know that it's a popular suggestion and we then fit it into the sculptors schedule where we can.

This particular request hasn't got enough votes for it to appear on the radar yet, but we'll keep an eye on it.

OK, do you have a few specific recommendations please?
We will all have to throw ourselves on Mollinary's indulgence about the lack of pickelhaube.
But hardly anyone is on record as saying that they declined to be treated for their wounds because the doc wasn't wearing a pickelhaube.

For ammo guys, we can supply any of the existing artillery crewmen separately, so that should cover that bit.  For the walking wounded, it would be a case of picking out a suitable pose for conversion, so probably advancing poses would be best for that.  I don't know if the foot officer with his sword resting on the ground could be converted into an elderly chap leaning on his walking stick?

Many thanks, I will get onto the case. Perhaps you had better put the saucepan full of metal onto regulo 8 in anticipation of the order.
