 Hi Guys

Hope I'm posting this in the correct area!!

Martin's wife has asked me to post an update and to thank everyone for their kind messages.

Operation went well, although took longer than expected. He's probably going to be in ICU for another 2-3 days .(Once he's on a normal ward we can smuggle in the KFC!)
Cheers

Smuggle in the KFC?! I know hospital food is bad, but that's just adding to his misery surely ;)

Glad he's out, hope the recovery comes along well :)

I understand that in Japan you get sushi in post-operative care; tasty, light on the digestion, and a reminder that life is still worth living.
I don't drink coffee to wake up. I wake up to drink coffee.

What they all said, except maybe the sushi  ;D

Great news, hoping for a speedy recovery :)

Luck Mart. Hospital food is truly terrible. Just found out I'm diabetic - so if I LIKE IT I CANT EAT IT. Think I'll go for 5 fun years rather than 20 Dull Boring ones. The ultimate was being told by a medic Prof about my age to cut down on drinking - given the amount the medics put down in the 70's bit off that.

Mines a pint of stella.

In this country they'd probably boil it...

Great idea though, I'd go for it :D

Good news about Martin. Hope he'll be back hacking the plasticard really soon.

And Ian, once the diabetic terror wears off you'll find not much has changed. Go easy on the lager, though.
When you realise we're all mad, life makes a lot more sense.

Yeah - don't drink, don't eat burgers, hard cheese, dougnuts, pork pies, Chinese.......do eat greens, mackerel (ugh).

Still not as bad as Mart....
