My word. I used to have one of those. Wasn't there a transfer saying "A paddy bird from Ceylon"? I never did work out what that meant.

I always understood that to call an Irishman "Paddy" was to take your life in your hands. Or was it different a century ago?

No transfer in my kit, but I would not be surprised if there was one back in the day.  Wood effect? What wood effect?  It's just painted, kleared and matt varnished, same as anything else.
