Yeah, I'm glad I joined this forum.  I feel like I'm among friends.
Nice, well-rounded people!
I'll try using a different machine for future photographs.
It's probably time I ordered that Parliamentary army, I suppose.

I wonder if this is the right way up?

Straight up, top to bottom, and all that jazz :)

Actually, were you posting from an iPhone? mine has a tendency to flip the pics, I think it might depend on which way up I had it at the time...

I think you may find that an unfact, as opposed to a correctlie.

Although with the local accent "correctlie" is actually what "correctly" sounds like... except they put about seven syllables in everything.

ANyway, I shall leave with Dr Johnsons parting comment.

That one was sent from a PC at work.  Which is why everything's the right way 'round.  Note to self...

Very clever that. You got them to stick to your fingers, and the bluetac (or glue or doublesidedstickytape or whatever) can't even be seen.

:-bd

Nice painting, as well.
Water is indeed the essential ingredient of life, because without water you can't make coffee!

Thanks.  Yeah, superglue's pretty super.  I got into quite a pickle when I came to glue the wheels to the artillery piece...

GordonY

Even there, Blue-tack us your friend, blob of BT on the desk, stick wheel to BT, bit of superglue on the axle, prop into place with yet more BT, wait a while then fo the other wheel.

Hertsblue

Or even, both wheels into BT at roughly the right distance, glue on both axles, lower carriage between wheels and press gently on wheels to locate. And Robert's your mother's brother.
When you realise we're all mad, life makes a lot more sense.

Then you take them out of the blu-tac and they don't move, stick to you  etc etc......

Excellent!  Blu Tac acquired; I'll let you know how I get on.  Thanks again.

DBA appealed due to the slightly abstract nature of the game, and the 2' board.  I'm usually drawn to more leisurely rules like Pike and Shotte, though.  I'm sure to give Impetus a try in the very near future as well.

Has anyone tried DBMM. I know that the doubles competition is for 500 Army Points (AP) and the singles competition is 400 AP.
But there are two other options the DBMM 100 format and DBMM 200 format. (100 AP and 200 AP).
The favoured basing for 10mm. Figures is to use 15mm. size bases and increase the number of figures used by 50%.
Very impressive with Pike.

The forum for dbmm a good place for a newbie to ask questions
