So Andy Murray left Wimbledon early, England left the World Cup even earlier, and now Chris Froome has left the Tour de France early. What's with the early exits of our 'only hope' this year? Is the Commonwealth Games going to stop the trend?

Probably not, but then frankly I don't care that much. I'm a lost less nationalistic than I used to be, probably as a result of having lived abroad in a non-European country.
