Hi all, been a while ;D

I just got some figures off ebay (cracking buy for a change :) ) which were advertised as Pendraken. As far as I can tell, they appear to be from the Old range, which isn't an issue as my collection has allsorts of manufacturers mixed together. However, I have noticed that they are far better proportioned, and much nicer casts than the new style figures I've bought myself. The new range marching figures have significant issues with banana shaped muskets in one of the poses, seemingly moulded round the carriers head, not just bent in the bag but moulded that way. The weapons also appear to be really short on all the poses. Have I just got a really bad batch, or are the new figures not as nice as the old ones - it could be that I'm wrong and these figures aren't from Pendraken at all (they're confederates firing and reloading, in one pose each, but with loads of head/hat and gear variation) but that doesn't change the Old v new question I guess.

Or am I just massively spoiled with the AWI figures? :)

There's some pics of the old range here: http://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php/topic,302.0.html

The new range match in much better with the other recent ranges and is far more comprehensive than the old one was.  The rifles are smaller than the old range as well, and unfortunately do get bent easier.  There is one marching pose where the rifle curled round his head slightly in moulding, but it comes back out easily enough.

Cheers Leon. I'm now not certain these are Pendraken figures at all.... :o
