Okay, as promised, my first attempt at 10mm.  I generally paint in a 'loose' way, not sure if it works as well at this scale.

Thanks for all the encouragement!  Yes, I'm hooked on the scale.  I wanted to do a test stand so I had a finished product before launching into Newcastle's Whitecoats, or the entire New Model Army (which is an apt force to paint if you think about it...).

Just had a peak at your blog, Ric; there's some inspirational stuff on there.  Glad I joined this blog.

They look pretty good to me, PO.

I've been painting 10mm since the early 90s and they look as good as (if not better than) anything I've ever done.

My elongated absence from the forum can be explained thus:

Yikes - not only have you seriously hurt your head, you need to adjust your  horizontal / vertical hold  ;)

Come on then...enquiring minds want to know...

Well...  I was toying with the idea of fabricating a glamorous motorcycle crash; however, I cut my finger, fainted (yes, I know, not very dashing) and hit my head off a corner wall.
My concentration levels were low over the summer, but I got back into painting via 20mm WWII figures, and now feel able enough to continue with 10mm ECW.
I can thoroughly recommend not touching your own skull.

OUCH !!.....Big time !
Glad you're feeling better, Plastic !

Sadly no.  I was dissapointed to note my intellect was similarly unaffected and remains, like my skull, good to soft.

What are we looking at? Is it the beard?

I think you're going to have to make up an number of increasingly implausible stories that you can recite for the many, many times you will be asked for the tale.

Best I've come up with so far is a knife fight with Opus Dei.  I was in New York recently and  got some approving glances from scary-looking people on the subway.
