Hello,
Apologies if this isn't the right place for this (I'm 'new'!).
Is there a consensus as to the base size of camps for DBA.
I'm nearing the end of painting 2 Wars of the Roses forces and will be turning to camps soon.
I've not played DBA before, and am a bit rubbish generally when it comes to 'rules'.

Thanks in advance.

I'm surprised you are confused, it is clearly stated in plain Barkerese in the rules

"fit into a rectangle the length plus width of which totals no more than 4 element base widths"    ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

There is some useful advice on camps on the Fanaticus site http://www.fanaticus.org/DBA/guides/camp.html

You will probably find other parts of the site useful as well

Yeah, that's the one.  I guess that would be 40mm square (although that's not a rectangle) assuming a 40mm width.
And here's me hoping DBA would allow for more games in less time!!!
What's left of my brain is sore.
Thanks for the link!

As a maths teacher, I have to say, a square IS a rectangle, it is just a regular rectangle*. It could also be referred to as a regular parallelogram. An oblong, by the way, is any rectangle that is NOT a square!!!!  X_X :P

Waits for the flak!

*All sides the same length and all angles equal.

Our camps are two base widths wide by two base widths deep - 80mm square

And to us rally those who keep a musical performance in the key it's written in, who say the lines that are in the script, who give the correct dose of the right drug to their patients, who follow suit at bridge, who respect the idea that grammar and lexis are aids to clear communication, and who don't flatten little old ladies at pedestrian crossings!

If we all followed that we'd never have made it down from the trees ;)

More on topic, I think my DBA camps are anything from @80mm square to 80-60-40mm by 60-40-30mm, give or take :)

I think the Romans have the best camps - they all wear skirts and are very particular about personal hygiene.
