A small personal breakthrough

I have been awfully slow about painting horse; this weekend I decided to get over it.   Success: I have completed 2 nine-figure units of horse - Prussian dragoons and Austrian hussars.  The trick seems to be (for me) painting the horse all the way through, including tack and washes bot not the saddle blanket, before turning to the rider.

I also finished a small unit of Grenzer, so all-in-all a good weekend.

Completed, bty, does not include flocking and magnets: I do that in batches of half a dozen units.

Good man - how're you doing this weekend?

Pics soon.  Maybe I'll have a grand review Monday night.

I am off tomorrow to visit a friend who just got out the hospital after a heart attack (that's 2 friends with heart attacks in 2 months).  Today I tried a new approach to making rivers and it looks (if they continue not to warp) like they may look pretty good.

I only have enough bases left for a couple more units - I had to send off another order for those at the start of the week.
