Hi all,

Anyone recommend any good wire for pinning stuff together.  My last lot has run out, haven't a clue where it was from and, truth be told, it was too wide anyway.

Any ideas fellas? :-\

Local model shop (Wonderland, Lothian Road, Edinburgh) does a wide selection of brass wire, plastic rod, balsa strips, plastic and metal shapes (I-Beams, tubes, etc) and the like so I tend to just saunter in and pick what looks about right. Not exactly a scientific method but it seems to have worked so far.

A good modelshop should stock thin brass rod (wire), down to 0.50mm and possibly thinner. Dressmakers pins are another option but not easy to cut compared to the brass (stating the bleedin' obvious I know :D).

Scale Model Shop is pretty good, if you need stuff posted to you

IF you can find them, wedding dress pins are incredibly fine but strong.
