Hi,

are there any plans to release flank company figures in the British Saratoga range and dismounted Brunswick dragoons ?

Kind Regards.  :)

Leon

Hi Leon, got some more for you. Saratoga dress firing line, American militia  marching and roundabouts skirmishing/ firing line.

Regards.

clibinarium

Flank companies for Saratoga; most likely not, the light infantry probably kept their caps so changed little. Grenadiers; maybe but probably not, if people have two grenadier units AWB 5 + 6, they probably won't want more.

Brunswick dragoons; very likely, but after more of the main types are done.

Saratoga firing line; yes, relatively soon.

Militia marching; AWA17 could be used for these. Might do more in the future for northern militia

Roundabouts firing line; yes, relatively soon.

any ideas when we are likely to see some mounted command, clibinarium ?

or atleast what you think may be available soon ?

Cheers

Upon reflection and after a bit of research, I think there is no need for flank co figures for the British Saratoga range. Apparently the shoulder wings were not raised like the later napoleonic uniforms, but flat. So they can be painted ( carefully ). For my Continental regiments, I intend to use a mix of continentals in uniforms and hunting shirts and militia, all in the same unit. So obviously I would like to use the same poses for all three, hence my request for marching militia.

I would like to see skirmish troops in skirmishing  and march poses, as alot of AWI rules allow these troop types to been in close/loose and extended order.I understand that you cannot cover everything, not only due to the work involved, but to commercial considerations also.

It looks like it's going to be a comprehensive range, great work Clibinarium , many thanks for your continuing hard work !

May have been said, but british infantry command with round hats (but not the roundabout uniform)
And as I saw earlier said, Marching american militia. (I only use marching line units, the standing ones look prettier individually but awkward on a battlefield with troop movements)

would it be rude to ask for Mounted Command on every AWI thread ?  ;D

If I may add my 'tuppeneth'...

Following a recent discussion with Clibanarium over on his yahoo group... apparently this is the place to 'lobby' the powers that be....!

I'd definately reiterate the requests for:

- Mtd Generals (US/Brits/Germans)
- Brit Dragoons in Tarleton (also suitable for Lee's Legion mtd?)
- US Dragoons
- Brit Line Command campaign dress (cutdowns & roundabouts)

...all of which Clibanarium hints at being in various stages of development (ie. already on the workbench)..

To which I'd add:

- French foot command
- French Mtd/Legion horse
- Queens Rangers command
- "Legion" foot ie. in Tarletons (suitable for Brit legion / Lee's Legion...?... not sure these need seperate command tho it would be added bonus!)
- Some gun Limber teams

No criticism intended here in any way.. this range is already stunning... I am just about to put in an order for a whole load of AWI [I've just ordered £50 worth of Clibinariums's Pendraken Late Romans...:-) ].... if you consider the usual limited choice offered elsewhere IMHO there is absolutely nothing to match these AWI figs below 28mm in terms of character, quality of sculpt and the extent of the range already... any additions would make it really comprehensive... and I've seen a lot of extremely positive comments online... surely a few further additions would truly be the icing on the cake and would serve to make this a very popular (and one assumes, commercially viable) range of figures!

And to top it off... Clibinarium also hints that as far as he is concerned this range is only about 2/3rds complete... now that is really too much!

Any chance some of these could be bumped up the list of priorities.....?

Very best wishes,

Mark

can i re-reiterate Mtd Command packs and British Cavalry in Tarletons please  ;) does it have more effect if i keep mentioning at every opportunity ?  :)

Mark - re Legion infantry in Tarletons. Some discussion on the British Grenadier forum seems to suggest that there is no evidence for the infantry wearing Tarletons  - you can pretty much justify any headgear you want. I've just painted up normal British LI in Legion Colours to get me going. Of course if we did get the Tarletons then i would struggle to resist!!

Goat Major - thanks for the follow up comment - I appreciate its grey area that one - I'm sure that particular debate will range for many years still to come.... and regardless of the debate, people still seem to want them!  :)

I was just thinking along the lines of 'wish lists' that it might be vaguely justifiable for one pack of foot (including command in same pack?) in Tarleton headgear... which at a push might cover Brit/Lee's Legion and maybe even dismounted 16th light dragoons (if you clipped off the bayonets?) ....

Cheers,

Mark

Any chance of some ragged/ Valley Forge type continentals ? Cheers.

Leon

I've popped these on the list.  There'll be some more bits for AWI, but the designer is working on a LofA range at the moment.
