Phil - you know you shouldn't use hammers...ianS  ;)

It was a 'heavy duty' snap trap from the barn, Ian.
It was stuck !.....I was cleaning it and it went off !
Honestly.....I was being SO careful (I mistakenly thought) too. X_X

Cheers - A Muppet.  :-[

Cheaper ?
£3.99 for a snap trap, which doesn't need feeding, or taking to the vets.
It won't get splattered on the road.....You don't feel sad when it reaches the end of its 'life....It doesn't sharpen its claws on the furniture, or pee on/in electrical equipment.
......And it doesn't need a cat tray, when its too lazy to go outside.

Had more than enough cats to last this lifetime.  ;)

A bit over a year ago rather more than my entire Christmas bonus went into medical treatment for a sick kitty. Traps are less cuddly, admittedly.

They 'bite' with a lot more force as well !  ;)

Though they're less likely to give you blood poisoning, if they do 'nip' you.  X_X :'(

Have you tried the electric ones?

Oh dear lord, what have I done! :o
Buy plenty of Matron's sculpts now!

If he keeps using the chainsaw, the value of his work will soon go up.

Got an electric one already. ;)
Don't use it though.....Never sure if it would kill them instantly.....YUK !!

Cheers - Phil

Used one,  not that great.   My father in law hooked one up to a car battery and that definitely did the trick but I really wouldn't advise it.

There's a ghastly local rat-trap which literally glues them to a bit adhesive pad to starve to death. Without liking the creatures, that's not a fate I'd wish on an ISIS commander.

Morning all

A quick update from me based on Real Life...

I've now separated from my wife and am living back in Dunster (temporarily while I get something more permanent sorted); everything is fine and amicable and we're getting on better now than we have done in the last few years. The kids are cool too - they describe everything as 'peaceful' now which is coolio  8)

Daughter #1 is now 18, driving and off to Uni in September
Daughter #2 is now 13 going on 21
Son #1 is now 9, 10 in July

So a fair bit of turmoil and much sorting-out to do (especially of my wargames stuff - might well lead to a bit of selling / consolidation as I won't have the same amount of space available). I'm steadily adjusting to a pattern of having kids / not having kids and work remains as incessantly bonkers as ever.

On a more positive note, I've now got internet access again, and have negotiated the childcare rota so that I don't have them on a Tuesday night when the Minehead crew meet - so I'm getting some gaming in. Every cloud & all that...

:)
