Considering that Warmaster is being terminated, and I have heard of people trying to get proxys out, do you have any plans on making expansions for this range to use as proxys?

there are some good ideas for proxy models over on specialist-arms.com, many of them from our good friends at Pendraken :)

I'm currently working on a dwarf army with a sizable pendraken contingent, and many of the historical models work very well for bretonnians, empire, araby or kislev armies, not to mention Albion or Dogs of war if you play with experimental lists

Nik has just painted a couple of lovely wood elf and goblin armies so I don't think there are too many expansions needed, the only armies difficult to proxy are chaos warriors and daemons

I don't want to specifically name other manufacturers on this forum, but if you can't find what you want in Pendraken's catalogue there are lots of good ideas and lists of suitable models here

With the Mongols being released I can see them being used as Kislev
If I were creating Pendraken I wouldn't mess about with Romans and  Mongols  I would have started with Centurions , eight o'clock, Day One!

We don't have any definite plans in place to create proxies, although we will have a new race coming soon (http://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php/topic,2272.0.html) plus some shifting about of the ranges at the end of this year.

There's a lot of stuff at the link posted above by Fenton as well.

Ooh! Ooh! Ooh! Fim ..... Albion Ogres!  ;)

Soon? Soon as in over the next few months? Or Soon(tm) as defined by CCP (makers of EVE Online) - "A period up to but not including the next Ice Age"  ;D

Soon should be in the next 3 months.  I've got the Nap Bavarians, and the Ancient Spanish which are ahead of them in the queue, so it all depends on how many moulds we can get done through August.  Dave's off work (day job!) for the next fortnight, so we should be able to get quite a few done.

Have you guys ever thought about getting the licence to produce the ruleset?

Considering that they have discontinued the rules, and that other companies have re-released older GW games, it might be something for the future?

I'd be surprised if they'd offer the license out, I thought that they weren't keen on anyone else trying to get in on their past glories?

you'd only need a licence if you wanted to call it warmaster and use GW imagery, it's explicitly stated that you cannot copyright rules mechanics

the (insert period)...war commander series is proof of that, they're warmaster in all but name, with tweaks to suit the unit types and combat style of the game

also, they've let other companies produce their games which don't use their miniatures (roleplay, card games, chaos in the old world) they wouldn't let another company produce miniatures for a GW game in any capacity (or scale!)

Thats kind of what I meant, using the rules mechanics in the same way FWC and the others do, just call it "master of war" or something! (providing its not been used before...I'm sure someone will pull me up about it... :D)
