Hi Ian.

From 'my sources'  ;) (rather than my ...ahem...research) it was the same 'pattern' as the WWII one.
Think I've got that right. :-\....But I stand to be corrected. ;)
I'll probably send these as they are....Then if there's a demand for berets or bare headed bods, I can convert these to give some variations if Leon fancies that. :)
If they are wrong as they stand, I can soon tweak them.

Cheers - Phil

Yes it probably was - but the 44 pattern one, not the WWI soup plate, which those look like.

This image from the imperial war museum web site:-

http://www.iwm.org.uk/collections/item/object/205189465

shows "A 105 mm light gun of 29 Commando Regiment, Royal Artillery sited under camouflage netting between Fitzroy and Bluff Cove"

Some gunners are bareheaded, whilst others are wearing berets and others helmets. Seems like we could justify all these variations for the range!

Looking forward to adding the new items to my Falklands forces. Excellent work done on this project Mr Techno. "Thank you" very much.

I guess Martin's the man to ask about that. It'd be very useful, though, not just for the Brits but also the US Marines.
When you realise we're all mad, life makes a lot more sense.
