Played a solo game of a night attack at the start of Barbarossa last night and took a few pics.

Really nice and very evocative, feels like a proper night attack!

All models were Pendraken, I think?  8)
Water is indeed the essential ingredient of life, because without water you can't make coffee!

Aander lu bin óók lu.

Albie Bach

Yes, all Pendraken, but I had to do a bit of modifying for the Tauchpanzers.

If I were creating Pendraken I wouldn't mess about with Romans and  Mongols  I would have started with Centurions , eight o'clock, Day One!

What did you use for the basing?
I used frozen spinach for the river weed. The rest was my normal Jarvis scatter.

Yeah ... I couldn't resist the April Fool thing. I did try to mention it was night-time as much as possible in the report.  :P

Anyway, I have played a couple of games of Blitzkrieg Commander 2 this weekend and taken loads of piccies. The first didn't work out because the French were too slow in the counter-attack, so I'm just finishing a 1944 NWE game. I'll do a proper report of that later.

oh !   =)
They were French 1940 Regular Army   :P

( by the way, we're also working on an other  campaign : Hannut, the 1st real tank battle (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Hannut).  I don't know when we'll be ready, but we shall play several linked scenarios.)

Interesting, what ruleset are you using?

Always nice to hear about someone scrapping over my homeland  ;)

One of my friend is in charge of this new campaign "Hannut". He'll write specific and linked small scenarios, we will play them with Force on Force. For now we're playing  unlinked scenarios, to get used to the rules.. and the armies !  http://smolensk.homelinux.org/?tag=1940

The 1940 campaign (  not only France, it's a bad habit  ;) ) is very interesting and underestimated.

OOOOH Shiny!!

Bookmarked that one, thanks!!

Shame Pendraken doesn't make a 1940 Belgian line. i know pithead does them, but i rather stay with one supplier.
