I was painting these up until last week when the pendraken bug bit me, I hate to say it but as soon as these are based, they're out the door to fund AWI americans.

A labour of love but with the quality of pendraken sculpting, I'll never look back.

cheers.

They look too nice to just get rid of without playing even one game.  :-\

Believe it or not, I've never rolled a dice in anger, not one single game in any period or scale in my life.

I guess I'd like to game one day but have never got round to it, for me the joy is found in turning bare lead into realistic (ish) armies.
S'pose that's what makes our hobby so rich, some game, others paint, collect or sculpt and each of our fields is reliant on every other.

Who knows, having seen the AWI stuffed based for it I might order a copy of black powder and give it a go soon.? heaven knows my eyes need a rest from painting.

cheers

Me too! Although, I dabble through rules and strategies, look on enviously at others games and drool over wargame porn/eye candy. For me, I enjoy the researching and reading the background history to the period, the painting the figures as part of a 'zen like' process which helps me to deal with life's tribulations and having some satisfaction in producing a an end result in a creative pastime.

"Whatever floats your boat" could be a mantra to the hobby

Yes, indeed. There's something wonderfully soothing about painting the little blighters.  :)

I,m with Ry and Dickie, never played a game, this will change shortly though when my AWI americans arrive. Never had the time before due to work and stuff, for me it,s the satisfaction of seeing the figs finished and based, painting for me is very relaxing.
