If the storage of all books is considered to be a bounded system then the energy expended in reorganizing your portion is explaining why my portion is becoming more cluttered. Granted it may not be your work specifically but I find it convenient  to hold you responsible.

You put General History last in your list when many would have put it first.

Prehaps you should fill the void with fiction?

I did not know what a "Billy" bookcase was but now find that I have several cheap knock-offs.

I'll happily take that responsibility. :D

For "general history" read "non-military history".

I have a new favourite: Japanese WWII Army aircraft. I have chosen to depict these Sallys and Nates in a plain (plane) green topside. This is a lot easier than some other airforces I could mention. For example, the German green on slightly lighter green. The Insignia is a simple red dot. This makes decals a joy to apply, as against stars that have to be pointed in the right direction (yes USAAF, I'm looking at you.)

Very simple, though oddly satisfying.

In the background, 2 x Mark1 Models Wessex aircraft. These are 1:144. They look huge to me.

Not sure I would want to be suggesting that I would like to see Nobby's chopper.   :d

That's just a painting base. I put a bit of terrain on 'em for playing.

Over Xmas, I've done quite a bit of painting. Some East Africa WWI, Korean War and TB Line knights. I plan on using the last for skirmish wargames. This comes from a view-changing article in the Military Modelling Annual 1 (1974)* by Charles Grant "Suggestions for a Medieval Wargame" which is why the figures are individually based. I'm planning to add the peasant archers and armed peasants to the mix, but feel the need for some professional soldiers - and flags. They're charging out of a forest of pine trees** that I found ... having ordered some time ago and then forgotten about.

Apologies for the quality of the pics. Just snapped them with my phone.

I have also completed the Zeroes and Vals for the Midway Akagi, and have the Kates on my painting table. They do look rather impressive en-masse.

Anyway, tomorrow it's back to work. This will be the view from my office window as the sun rises.

*There's also an article about the Panhard EBR and all its variants by Christopher Foss.
** 125 I think.
