Y'know, I tell you all about what I've been up to, and how I was quite excited because I have found a method for doing irregular armies and you lot talk about magpies.

Thanks.   :P

This afternoon, the two magpies that saw off the cat yesterday were sat on my window sill pecking at the glass. I think they're coming for me.

You do know what forum you're on don't you?

You could go elsewhere where they will tell you you know nothing about the period, and everything you do is wrong
I have neither the time nor the crayons to explain why you are wrong.

AND within two posts be deep in a shouting match about the danger to American strategic interests of that new Chinese noodle shop in Singapore, with a link to a post revealing the shocking truth that the Etruscans probably didn't have Lee Enfields.

No FSN, Techno is normally knee deep in Horsesh*t.  But that is what you get for allowing your wife to have so many horses  :)-

CORRECTION . Thats what you get from being allowed to live with  a delightful lady who like horses. (Von made me type e that.  :-S )

Today..... I are mostly trying to do a Track & Trace on a wee package I sent to Leon yesterday.....What an absolute farce on both the Post Office, and Royal Mail sites. =O =O =O

Type in tracking number.....Little box with 9 pictures comes up. Tick all the pictures that have cars/bicycles/traffic-lights/boats/bridges, or whatever, and then click verify......I had so many goes I gave up in the end. Loads of the photos are so frigging distant, and out of focus, you can't make anything out (cars, for example)...because they're smaller than a pin head.

Is that a car, or a smudge on the picture ? :-\

THEN when they do give you a decent shot, or shots...and you get it right...the wretched system goes into a 'loop', crashes, and then you have to start all over again. X_X

Ithoriel

Are you allowed to send packages of wee through the post to your employer? :D :D :D

I got a package today, about three months late thanks to a UK sender who got the address very wrong. Interestingly, the track 'n' trace site of the Thai post office claimed I had it already at 11:00 A.M. (sending me out to check the postbox again); the site even gave an electronic rendition of my signature (which didn't remotely resemble even my terrible handwriting). But it arrived a few hours later, so I can live with a few procedural shennannigans.

Are you a robot Phil? As those are designed to catch out robots...might explain a few things...

All day I've been trying to work out why 22 May rings a bell.

On TMP somebody has a post about the 211 anniversary of Aspern Essling*

I've only been researching it for over a year...
