Looks good Vulpine. There's a good feeling of coldness and the overall muted tones work well to achieve this. You are a brave man going for SOB - it's going to be wallet bustingly expensive! Having said that - there's something very appealing about an army of Debby Harry lookalikes  Smiley

Thanks matey!

Well, a second hand unit on Ebay is 15-20 (inc Hev, Sp and Superior) even if you pay 25 that's still cheaper than Space Marine Tac squad. I'm looking for very cheap and badly painted units. As a Decoroator I know how to delicately remove the paint. That could save me some cash. 50pts a basic squad and are a scoring unit. Finally, I will want a Russ as SOB lack some heavy fire power so to 'acquire' that would be good.

Finally, I've converted some guardsmen using the Chasos Cultists. I want them to look like poor locals that the SOB have drafted. This is a really cheap way of bulking out the army (cash and points wise) Cultists are under 9 on eBay still on the spru.

soaking in dettol or fairy power spray seem to be the paint solvents of choice out there in GW land. I haven't had cause to try them myself yet.

That last one really doesn't like his kneecaps. Or at least he'll soon learn if he tries to use that flail type thing!

Stripping paint off metal: Nitromorse, it's amazing stuff. Designed to work on wood or metals without damaging. Models come out as new, just dip or paint on and scrub off with a tooth bush. (Be carful of skin and your eyes)

Plastic: Usually a bin job. But oven cleaner does it, same process as above, it won't come off that clean but the thick will and then you can re paint.

Well, I'm backtracking now. I think that models breasts are too big. The whole feel of the model infact was exaggerated. I wanted the background of my force to be about a low leavel SOB leader and her small force rasing a local force. I'm not against my busty model but she's more of a grand leader than a captain.

GW models ex-ag-ger-at-ed? No, never, it's not possible! Everybody knows that their 'Extravagothictm' 1) style is true to life!

1) Extravagothic: A true-to-life combination of Exotic, extravagant and Gothic (in all it's various meanings) styles.
