Painted up the bases of 4 6pdr support units for BKC last night, with the figures scheduled for tonight. Churchill tanks all basecoated ready for wash and then highlighting.

There was a realisation this morning,
Why were the argentines so quick, whereas the Bavarians took a dog's age?
Five hours compared to a month...
1) monotone palate.
2) no details/piping/cap badges
And most importantly...
3) there's only 45 in this batch, whereas the Bavarians had 187 figures, plus guns!

Which gives me more satisfaction?
Easy
Neither
All painting is satisfying!

Do I get the impression you're at a loose end, Will?
When you realise we're all mad, life makes a lot more sense.

Just started on the "dug-in" 14th Army bods for our convention game. Also got the prototype Hurribomber up and running. Inserting the copper rod into the wings for the 20mm cannons is a bitch.

I could tell you what I was making now.....
But if I did, I'd have to shoot you....

I must work out how many wee chaps I've made this year....
No wonder I never get time to actually paint anything !  :'( :'( :'( :'( ;)

Later Roman Auxilia are done, took me as long to do their shields as painting the rest of the unit!
As ever, they just need basing, which will get done when the rest of the batch is done! 8)
Catafractorii next.
