Well I did some more basing on my DB warbands yesterday evening, so some progress albeit slower than I would have liked (the usual real life issues getting in the way). Today I finished basing my Royalist 2mm ECW army. Both these and the Parliamentarians will also be used for some Thirty Years War stuff as well as for early 18thC armies for Maurice.

Thumb now back in commission. What to do next? I've got a 15mm US Airborne company on the stocks and another tranche of Kursk Soviets lined up. Whilst waiting for the digit to function again I also drew infantry flags for Great Northern War Swedes and Russians. Perhaps I could get them going. No, no, that way lies madness.....  8-} 8-} 8-}

Well I all but finished basing my Saxon DB warband today. Tomorrow onto my Sea Raiders and a few outstanding bases fingers crossed. As I've got to work a bot of this weekend I might even get everything primed if I'm lucky.

Steve, would love to see your 2mm fig pics if you have any, I got some from irreg as a kid but never got round to painting them.

Cheers

Byzantines finished, now at work on the Knights Hospitaller of St John of Jerusalem.

16th division, 8th Prussian corps, & 4th Cavalry Division 1870 just need basing and flags. Bloody frost and snow has stopped that!  :'(

Still waiting to spray - started some 15mm PP NVA to keep me busy while my next order arrives from Leon!

Spent Sunday afternoon browsing round the Festival of British Model Railways at Ally Pally. Picked up about 15 feet of "N" Gauge second-hand track very cheap, which will make an appearance on an 1866 battlefield in the not too distant future. Just got to get it based and balasted first.

I know Soviet issue kit is easy, but I painted 100+ 15mm NVA last night, no colours/cuffs/turnbacks - forgotten how easy they can be!  8-} Just got stocks on rifles, errors to sort and basing to do. Ridiculously easy. Biggest issue was whether I repainted my stuff I painted in 1992? The answer is probably no - my 19 year-old self wouldn't like it!  ;D So I've kept them as one formation and teh new kit as reinforcements!  :D

Still prefer 10mm 19th Century, more satisfying to paint!

Managed to sneak in some priming at work for my DB Landraiders :). Fingers crossed at lunchtime I will get to do a bit of converting on a few figures to finish things off. So onto painting bases tonight all being well. As the kids are now on holiday there should be no interruptions re: homework etc to stop me doing this, famous last words!
