Just about to complete 15th Infantry Regiment Prussian Guards (1757).

I've always loved their colours - silver and white stripes, yummy!  :)

Unfortunately the silver stripes don't show up very clearly on the flags I've use. If I'm feeling up to the challenge I might go over them with very dark grey and then silver.

Snuck in a sneaky hour before work today and two hours tonight, the two units basically done apart from mistake sorting and bases.

Prussian 5th Cuirassiers boxed off for the SYW. Now to start on the first of my Prussian dragoons. Soon be in a position where I no longer have to borrow Prussian troops.

Dug out the last of my FOW (Arrrgh! Avaunt thee, Satan!) US figures and equipment with a view to finally getting them painted up. They will add five M4A1 76mm Shermans, a battery of Airborne M1 57mm A.T. guns, a Jeep-borne recon platoon and a battery of 3" tank destroyers. Useful additions, methinks.

Cautiously optimistic about getting some painting done this weekend - although, no doubt, the menagerie will get in the way at some point. And, yes, this does include wife & offspring  ;)

Get them involved. The six year old son of a freind wanted to "paint soldiers like Daddy".  So he mixed up a suitably thinned down bottle of black paint.  Told his son that this was his "special paint "  and taught him to undercoat figures.

It was a bit like the Elves and the shoemaker - Every night he left out some figures glues to lolly sticks and when he came home from work they were done and ready for him to paint.- pure genius  ;D
