This may be a no brainer that has long since been suggested, but Sci-Fi Dwarfs would be cool.

Mantic's Forge Fathers are awesome and having some similar little 10mm scale figures would be great, together with super-deformed vehicles, like small tanks that share the dwarfs diminutive but powerful build.

Possibly armed with characteristically oversized bulky retro-stylized weaponry like rifles, smgs and bazookas, nothing too sleek and advanced, almost steampunk in design maybe, with various armour types, like full power-armoured warriors and dreadnaughts to lightly armoured grunts.

Oho - I like the sound of this...as you say, Mantic's Forge Fathers are great - it would be nice to see something similar (I like the idea of a bit more steampunky) in 10mm.

I'm in  :)

Now that would be cool. Just means more cash flowing to PD  :D

Sounds interesting 8) but how would they be scaled? In the fantasy range there is a huge size difference between the dwarves and the hill dwarves ...... Dwarves should be stunty in my book :D

'Stunty'?

Well i suppose the high gravity worlds they come from would make them look sort of 'squished' or 'squat' looking.

What do the current fantasy 'clockwork gnomes' look like?  Perhaps they'd serve as a model.

I'd avoid making them look like hairy bikers or 'ancestors' though.

Hasslefree do an interesting interpretation with their Grimm range http://www.hasslefreeminiatures.co.uk/range.php?range_id=25&subcat_id=10.  Personally i think they lack a bit of 'character'...

Perhaps I should explain ...... Pendraken  do two ranges of fantasy dwarves: the FHD Hill Dwarves, which are rather tall for my taste, and the FD Dwarves, which are short and 'stunty'  :D
