Thought I'd locate all my work on the Falklands here  :) I picked up one pack of each available Brits at the Birthday Bash last week, they are nice! At the moment all the Brits are in berets but its an easy enough task to convert to helmets with greenstuff. I'll be keeping a few figures in berets but most will be in helmets, if you weren't confident with greenstuff you could always do a head swop with an appropriate figure. I'll be putting 4 figures to a base initially so as well as "We'll have to bloody walk" they're usable with CWC as well. I was thinking about using the inf base sizes in the CWC rulebook, 40mmx30mm, being a 10mm novice what do other folks use? Dougie

A shot of a couple of helmet conversions

Think that was next on Techno's conversion list!  ;)
All looking good thus far, please can we have a painting guide?

My BKC stuff is on a 25mm x 50mm base for infantry, with support weapons generally on 25mm x 25mm bases. Hope this helps?

It certainly is Lemmey....But Dougie's done a cracking job with those !  :-bd...I'm well impressed !
I'll be doing the complete lot of the currently moulded 'berets'  and converting them to 'helmets' next week.
And yes....again Dougie....Painting guide please. :)

Cheers - Phil.

Dougie

Thanks for the comments Phil, if you're doing the helmets anyway might just wait, I'll post a painting guide asap, hopefully later today  ;) Dougie

The 50 x 25 was what was recommended in the original (green cover) version of BKC, with transports also on 25 x 50s and the tanks etc on 50 x 30s.

I painted the test guy the same way I do my 20mm figs, there's a link below to a tutorial on my blog, I used the same colours, just got to concentrate a bit more  ;) Dougie

Excellent Dougie !! :-bd

Very useful....Brilliant idea to show the work on a 20mm (?) figure too....Much easier to see.
Boy...Am I really going to need my optivisor to do that !
Just concentrate a bit more eh ?.......You swine !!  ;D ;D ;D

Cheers - Phil.

Quite happy with the 50mm x 25mm bases, first half section based, the pairs "pepper potting" forward. The full section will also have a 25mm x 25mm base with the GPMG team on and a 25mm x 25mm with the last 2 of the section on, may split this into sigle figs for casualty removal. The photo has the figs mounted and vallejo pummice blending the bases  :)Dougie

EXCELLOENT stuff Dougie ! (You swine  ;))
Really like those.

Just as a bit of info for those that are interested....The helmets I've done on the first lot of Falkland's masters that Leon's sent back down, are based on the 44 pattern helmet, rather than the  para's 'type'.
Cheers - Phil.
