Hi kustenjaeger,

Any chance of getting the OP (original post in this context) list reorganised by classification?

Wargames rules names

Wargames generic conventions

Actual military terms

Etc.

The 'Edit' post function will have timed out for kustenjaeger by now, but I'll get this sorted as soon as I can for everyone.

CCA/C&CA Commands & Colors Ancients
CCN/C&CN Commands & Colors Napoleonics

If it's not too late.

As for military slang, how about BOHICA Bend Over, Here It Comes Again?

Here's some that I've thought of:

BAR - Browning Automatic Rifle
REMF - Rear Echelon Mother F***** (apparently from Vietnam)
WTF - Watch The Flanks (I think, but don't quote me)
IGIUGO I Go, You Go (I think a dyslexic wrote this one)
SLR - Self Loading Rifle NOT Single Lens Reflex -that's from another hobby altogether!
HEAT - High Explosive Anti-Tank
APDS - Armour Piercing Discarding Sabot
APFSDS Armour Piercing Fin Stabilised Discarding Sabot
HESH - High Explosive Squash Head
