The re-enactors facing colours appear a little dark in 1:1 scale  ;)

Marvellous Michael.
Like the way the officer has got them wandering round in a pointless circle while he waits for orders! ;)

As soon as I saw the photos I thought that they're not Pendraken. They look to have over indulged in the old wurst.

Or perhaps a little lighter?

It's another of those 'French Olive Greens'. Written down, it's one thing. In reality, it may have been something else. I went for a darker rather than a lighter 'Sky Blue' because it matched the colour swatch I had for Austrian Sky Blue. The enactors appear to have gone for a range of colours - by accident or design. Perhaps battalion tailors had just the same problems getting uniforms to comform with expectations.

I'm afraid that's the fault of the Napoleon of this project.

Even these days different batches of dyed cloth of the same colour come up in different shades. That's why suppliers always recommend that if you want a matching set of anything (seat-covers, bedroom linen etc) you should always buy them from the same batch. How much worse must it have been 200 years ago?
When you realise we're all mad, life makes a lot more sense.

And wash them in the same wash.  :D
