Love them!

But surely with the longevity of flags it would be 'until worn out or captured by the French'!?

Thanks! And, yes, as they say, if Napoleonic battles had been won by count of captured flags, the French would have won Waterloo.

Yes, Napoleon sneakily cut down the number of eagles his units carried - so there weren't that many there to be captured. There are a couple in the National Army Museum in London if you're ever down this way.

When you realise we're all mad, life makes a lot more sense.

Michael Scott! If there is one thing worse than a beautifully painted figure of a quality I can't hope to match it's the painter going "Oh dear! This didn't quite work!"  :P

So, the flag didn't drape quite as intended. What? The Austrians never fought if there was a stiff breeze blowing?  :-\

Beautiful job, as ever!!

Don't think I've ever got the two sides of a flag to match exactly, Michael, in forty years of trying. Looks pretty good to me. :-bd

Great work Michael 8). I love the map in the first general's hand :).

Subedai

I hold you entirely responsible for my reduced painted output over the last couple of days. That blog of yours is amazing. Filled with little snippets of information on 'How I did this' this is why that happened. Riveting stuff.
Just one question -hopefully no-one has asked before- when do we get to see the terrain?

Excellent. Keep going.
