While waiting for my first order of Ratmen and adventurers to arrive, I figured there's no sense wasting time, so might as well band out some terrain.  Here's a shot of the city sewers where the 10mm adventurers are going to have to root out the evils of the Rat King.  This is all home-made with matte board and sand.  Consider this a sneak peak - I've got details on construction posted on my blog, but the big reveal isn't due for a few days.  I just couldn't wait to share with you lot - you all inspired me to give this scale a chance...so, thanks.



These movable bridge tiles are made out of bamboo kabob skewers:



I really can't wait to get my hands on those figures.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone.  There was something wrong with those temple tiles that I couldn't put my finger on, and I figured out what it was.  The  marble tiles didn't have enough shine to them.  I was stumped on how to gloss up just the checkered bits when my wife suggested the Diamond Glaze that she sometimes uses on her crafty little things.  This is the result:



I really like how that provides more contrast between the polishes floor rooms and the halls and more grubby 'workman' rooms.
