GavinP remind me that I have done two BatReps using "BlitzKrieg" (french rule) not so long ago...

In Vierville:

You can notice that my table is ugly but I have progressed since.

Those BatReps are not very fine because I don't think to take photos but the next battle will be better!^^

Great reports, terrain is improving by game two!
I think as time goes on and you have the figures and a rules set you are happy with, then terrain becomes more important.
Says a man with a garage full!

Good buildings (and not being biased on item because I work with them, but because they are great):
Timecast!  ;)

Pendraken's resin cast buildings are very good, I have bought several of their WWII and 19th C items and they look very good on a 10mm table.

But you can get only so far with one French and one German farm. Scratch-building is the way to go, it's great fun, very practical (you can get exactly what you want) and cheap as well. Once you get the hang of it, you can build bombed-out towns, factory complexes and everything in between. There are many good tutorials out there. For starters, you could go to Youtube and search for The Kamloopian's video's. The Kamloopian is a loopy Canadian, a patent idiot like most of us and also a genius when it comes to scratch-building. It's amazing what you can do with a couple of household items, left-overs and cheap purchases.  Just watch some of his stuff for inspiration and before long you'll find yourself looking around the house for cardboard, scissors, PVA, match sticks, &cetera.

Cheers,
Aart

Ohhh! That little project you were discussing while I was helping them out!   :)
Wondered why Barrie had brought those (censored) and his (censored) along to the show!  :-\  ;)
Good few years since I've seen those!
Last time they saw daylight his wife was wearing them to a fancy dress party! :P
