COUGH, COUGH!

Rescind that remark Mr H. Last Hussar claimed Claire Balding and Julia Hartley Brewer... my reputation is tainted! :P Wouldn't touch either with yours :D

Oops! Sorry Nosher mate, my mistake  :-[ ...good to know you wouldn't touch them with mine though 'cos nor would I  ;D

I'll edit now...

Luddite

Julia Hartley Brewer and the lovely Kirstie Allsop aren't 'unlikely in my opinion.  Foxes more like...

I also have a soft spot for Sarah Beeny.

I think its the husky voice.  And the competent independence.

There's nothing more attractive and exciting that someone who is competent...

This is THE Velma I think people might have been referring to... I think she deserves a slot in the TOTTY thread rather than unlikely Totty.

That is sort of half the point of this thread!

I have trouble remembering how to post pics (i almost sais embed there )  and when I'm on the Shiny its impossible.

Of course at someone will have to start the conversation at some point.  Betty or Wilma?  For those of you more 21st century- Marge or Lois?
I have neither the time or the crayons to explain why you are wrong.

Sorry- Sally Gunnell?

It is time I put in the Last Hussar Theory of Margot Leadbetter.

Now those of you old enough, and lucky enough to have been born British, will remember "The Good Life", and the stuck up neighbour Margot.  It is important you DO NOT confuse her with the actress, Penelope Keith.

Margot is on the right

Now while Barabara Good/Felicity Kendal, quite rightly, makes your average middle age bloke find wellies and dungarees attractive, I have a theory on Margot.

Now most of the time she was a thorn to poor Jerry, her husband.  However, every few weeks he would arrive home on a Friday to find Margot in something frilly/lacy/a bit too revealing.  Without a chance even to pour a large whisky, he would be dragged upstairs by his tie, not to emerge until Monday morning, walking like John Wayne, and going back to the office for a rest.
