Is there sufficient interest out there for the 1859 campaign or am I just beating my gums?

It has 5 engagements 3 small and 2 large, one of which was one of the largest and bloodiest of the 19th century. It has wonderfully colourful uniforms. It has plenty of what if scenarios, given the dubious quality of the overall command on both sides.

Information is readily available on OOBs and uniforms and what people don't have I would be more than happy to supply.

Was Solferino really the largest of the nineteenth century? I thought it probably came behind Borodino, Leipzig and Koniggratz, and possibly Gravelotte St.Privat as well, but I'm not claiming expertise across the whole of that period!

I would be very interested in what elements from the Austrian 1866 range you are planning to use.  Like Maciek on another post, I was expecting the German Line in Kittel to be remodelled and was surprised at the contents of Hungarian Line in Kittel. With cavalry I was planning to use some from the 1860 Austrian range where I could supplemented with Napoleonics. Again the 1866 Hussar is different than the 1859 for example.

The 1870 French are OK for infantry, if you exclude the Guard, and some of the cavalry. I do not think the 1870 Hussar is of use, as the uniform is different.

I propose you this ranking for the biggest battles of the 19th century, any comments?

Among those battles, the presence of the French army is overwhelming (8 battles), then the Prussians (6 battles), then Austrians and Russians (4 battles)

   Of course you did!  My speed reading is getting a bit inaccurate with age - it was the "one of which is one of the" which floored me.   I already have a corps of the Line in kittel, which although single pose, and not as good as the new figures, I still like.  The artillery is OK I think, although I do not know if the gun has been remodelled, the old one is a bit generic. To be honest, I have not yet done the detailed research on uniforms as I am currently finishing off an ECW project.

I really like the "old" style Austrians in Kitel. I use the charging pose as Grenzer and the advancing pose for the line infantry.

Having them all in one pose suits my view of the Austrians

I make no distinction between the German and Hungarian uniforms

The Austrians in kittel are right for 1859. The new Austrian hussars are for 1866 but the old hussars from this range were for 1859. French Guard Grenadiers and Voltiguers are already available. Try the Danish 1st Schleswig war hussar for French hussars of 1859 (a dead ringer). French 1870 line infantry, chasseurs a pieds, line and guard 4pdrs, Chasseurs a Cheval, Chasseurs d'Afrique are also suitable. Napoleonic lancers in czapska and Napoleonic dragoons are more suitable for 1859 than the 1870 figures. !870 Zouaves are also suitable for 1859.

Sorry, it was 15mm, and a fair amount of proxying went of for some units. It was run by Barrie at Timecast, I was playing Napoleon from a distance (I was working in St Albans at the time, they game in Shrewsbury).
It was mostly 15mm Essex & Old Glory for French, with a mix of Freikorps, Austrians - no clue. Sardinians were the big proxy, I remember seeing that they had a fair mix of Polly Oliver ACW mixed amoungst them too (including the odd Union standard bearer here & there)! They used a heavily modified version of the 'Furia Francais' Fire & Flurry ACW rules varients at Regimental level.

Great campaign, especially when I trapped three Austrian Corps in Moderna,and then assaulted them with 5 French Corps, two of which they didn't see coming from BEHIND them!
