Cornwallis

My British / German army at the moment. Ratio is 1:10. Scenery, three jäger companies, one cavalry reg., one brunswick von specht, 5 british foot and one gun with crew. So at the moment the army would be 300 jägers, 100 cavalry, some artillery and 1800 infantry, giving a total of around 2200 men.

Next up are british and brunswick grenadiers and then more when my recent big order arrives...

Thank you, an honor! Very much looking forward to your new AWI sculpts, so far it's the most satisfying line of figures I've painted.

Actually, none at all, they are based for the visual effect. I want to give a really inspiring impression of a real battle of the AWI. I really enjoy watching a beautiful game, but using/making rulesets doesen't feel that worthwhile to me anymore. But to make it possible to recreate real battlefields and armies, I use 1:10 ratio, so an infantry unit always represents 300 men and so on. You may not be able to recreate the exact numbers of the 27th foot on this or that battle, but over all, it gets very easy recreating a battle that way; let's say there was 1200 british infantry present, then you'll need 4 infantry units. At this stage, I choose the units I find pretty and then improvise; from a distance, you don't really tell the difference of a green or blue faced british line unit, but still gives the right impression. Cavalry was very scarse, I chose to use my favorite figures out of the bag and did 10, for a 100 men unit. Same goes for the jägers (conveniently, mostly deployed in 100-men companies).

Thank you very much! :D Hate to disappoint you, but it's the 16th. But from what I understand, these figures can be painted as the 17th as well, so I'm having some plans of getting another group of cavalry... ;)
I'm absolutely with you about pendraken, all hail!

Great stuff! I will not redo my 20mm AWI armies in 10mm, no matter how good these look. You hear me?

Go on - keep saying it out loud: that way you'll eventually convince yourself... ;)
